Wunderschönes Schloss aus dem Jahr 1100, im 17. Jahrhundert von der adeligen Familie Acciaioli restauriert, mit einem charakteristischen Turm, der dem des Palazzo Vecchio in Florenz nachempfunden wurde.
Das Schloss liegt auf einem grossen Grundstück mit Weinbergen und Olivenhainen. Das Schloss sowie die Aussengebäuden des Schlosses wurden renoviert und in hübschen Wohnungen unterteilt.
Entfernungen: Montagnana mit Lebensmittelgeschäft 1 km, Montespertoli 4 km, Florenz 20 km, der Flughafen von Pisa ca. 70 km.
Zur Verfügung der Gäste: grosser terrassenförmiger Park, mit Gartenmöbeln und Tischtennis ausgestattet, mit hübschen italienischen Gärten aus dem 18.
Jahrhundert stammend, mit Zitronenbäumen und einem schönen gemeinschaftlichen Schwimmbad (12 x 6 m – geöffnet von 01/04 bis 31/10). Die Pförtnerloge hat die folgenden Öffnungszeiten: 8.30 / 12.30 und 14.30 / 18.30 Uhr an Werktagen.
Das Schloss ist direkt von der Familie Posarelli geleitet. Parkplatz vor dem Schloss. Gemeinschaftliche Waschmaschine zur Verfügung: 3 Euro pro Waschen.
Extra Services: Möglichkeit die Gutserzeugnisse in der charakteristischen Bar in den antiken Weinkellern des Schlosses zu erwerben.
Im Schloss befindet sich auch ein Restaurant (geöffnet von April bis Oktober). Auf Anfrage kann ein Babybett für € 52,- / pro Woche und ein Zusatzbett für € 77,- / pro Woche gemietet werden, vor Ort zu bezahlen.
Auf Anfrage Haushaltshilfe für €12,- / pro Stunde (Zahlung vor Ort).

Die Burg Montefugoni ist wunderschön, einzigartige Atmosphäre und traumhafter Ausblick über die Landschaft.

| The two bedroom cottage known as Montegufoni #32 worked very well for 2 mature adults and 2 grown granddaughters. There was plenty of space for privacy, as well as together time. We especially enjoyed the outside table and chairs, overlooking the beautiful Tuscan countryside. |

The property is one of the most incredible places where we have stayed while we were in Italy with a very nice swimming pool and garden. It is very centraly situated and the very efficient and friendly Reception staff will give you lots of nearby places to visit and how to get there. The staff all speak very good English. Also try out the Restaurant as they make really nice food and the menu changes daily. Bring Mosquito repellent.

a wonderful destination and stay had in the Castle. In total there were 11 in the family who stayed in 4 different rooms (all which were terrific), and all agreed what a super time had been had by all.
The views, weather, swimming pool, locality, gardens and history of the place was just amazing, the restaurant was also excellent.
A total score of 10 / 10 was agreed by all for the trip and we will defintely return in the very near future.

| Excellent location half an hour by car from Firenze old town. Beautiful old castle/place. Ample rooms, well kept, clean. Minimalistic kitchen and equipment (OK for breakfast and snack). Good restaurant with beautiful terrace. Ideal for resting combined with cultural and gastronomical escapades. |

Very nice ambience, very recommendable for a relaxing stay (even with young children). It's just a bit on the expensive side; also check whether faded elegance is your piece of cake.

Prima uitvalbasis om de omgeving te bekijken. Voor zeven personen (en baby)wel wat aan de krappe kant maar de locatie en de omgeving maakt veel goed!
Het apartement bevind zich om de bovenste woonlaag en omdat er geen airco is kan het vrij warm worden.
Prachtige locatie met redelijk goed restaurant
Zwembad wat aan de krappe kant als er een aantal families met kinderen zijn.

We stayed at Castello di Montegufoni 4-11 July 2011. Everyone there was amazingly friendly and helpful! The reception folks gave excellent advice and were a great help on where to go, what to see, and how to get there -- they are real experts on the area. They were so very nice our entire stay, and they even loaned us 2 fans for use while we were there. The chef in their restaurant made us really feel like family. He came out to greet the guests every night. My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary there and he really made the celebration dinner special!
About the only complaint I can think of is no air conditioning, and bring bug spray since you'll have to leave the windows open at night.
In all, Montegufoni is beyond beautiful with an incredible location that's central to all of Tuscany! I would DEFINITELY recommend it to anyone!

We stayed at Montegufoni 4 for 5 nights in July and used it as a base to see all of Tuscany. I would say that it was an excellent location close to most of th cities we stayed. We went to Siena, San G., Lucca, Pisa, Florence and Montelpulciano. The location was great to visit all those locales. The people at the castle were friendly and very helpful and the restaurant on site served up great food with a great view. There was even a great restaurant at a small town less than 1.5 km walk from the castle. The rooms were big and comfortable too.
The only main complaint that I had is they make too much noise picking up the garbage too early in the morning and the pool was super chlorinated. (great pool but bring gogles for the kids)
As you can see all and all a great place, good value for the money and I would recomend this location to anyone.

| My wife and I along with our two daughters thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return without a second thought. Our apatment with two bedrooms, two baths and kitchen fit our needs prfectly. An ideal place from which to explore the country side. Dinners were varied and of high quality. Our waitperson, Olga, was extremely friendly and conscientious. The chef provide us with a special treat on our last night. We enjoyed sharing dinning with local residents as well. All staff members were professional and extremely helpful. |

We were pleasantly suprised by Montegufoni 4 and had the BEST time there. Its close proximity to town for supplies and the peace and quiet were great. The restaurant was superb. The Montegufoni red wine is EXCELLENT!!! We even asked if we could get some shipped back to Australia.The staff were more than helpful and we would return there any time at all. Rated 10/10

| Just wanted to tell you and your staff what a marvelous time we had at your castle. The castle was a real jewel. We stayed in Montegufoni 9 and everything was wonderful. We loved Guisseppe, even though English was tough for him. Loved all your staff, the cook, receptionist etc. |

We had such an amazing time! The castle was so wonderful and the staff
that we did come in contact with were all so great! We spent one
morning just walking the castle grounds; exploring and admiring the
beauty! Our room was wonderful! We only had to pay for heat the first
night, as there was no one to turn ours off when we arrived at 9:30pm.
The temperture in the room without the heat was perfect! We like the
colder weather.
We will definitely be returning to Italy. We would like to return to
Montegufoni. The surrounding areas were great! Everyone we ran into in
the cafes and coop's were so nice and welcoming. |

We recently stayed at the Castello di Montegufoni, and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. LeTizia and Giuseppe were wonderful at accomodating their guests. The property was clean and beautiful. The views were spectacular. Our apartment was everything we expected. We had more than enough space, and slept well in the quiet of the castle. The castle was an easy drive to Florence, Lucca, Siena, Pisa, San Gimagnano, the Chianti area, the coast, and other attractions. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone considering a vacation in the Tuscany region. Thank you for making our vacation a truly memorable Tuscan experience.

The apartment is beautiful and we loved our time there. We found the apartment quite dark inside and a little cold in September with its stone floors. I would suggest more lighting and more floor rugs for this time of year.
The apartment was perfectly clean and a joy to stay in. Lovely being so close to Florence and yet have such lovely views. Giuseppe and Simona were the only people we meet really and they were both lovely, especially Simona who wanted to be helpful all the time and her collegue who ran the bar on Sundays.

| Propriété irréprochable par contre il est nécessaire d’apporter une attention particulière à l’équipement en vaisselle qui est un peu succinct, il faudrait vérifier le nombre d’éléments avant le début du séjour, (tasses, verres, couverts, et ustensiles de cuisines souvent insuffisants) . |

| We had a wonderful time at Castello Montegufoni. The building is absolutely superb, the garden and the pool area is fantastic and the view is beautiful. One night we had dinner at the castle's restaurant, which was also very nice and a good price as well. In the end of our stay I even bought a book about the castel's history. It is fascinating. | We were two middle-age couples that shared a two bedroom-two bath apartment. and we were delighted with the accomodation and hospitality. The reception people spoke english and were very helpful. It is a great location close to Florence, Siena, and Chianti area. Plenty to see around this location. We had a car and loved the countryside. We would definitely go back when we have the opportunity. Price is reasonable and fair. |

| We were staying at the Castle as part of a party for a wedding in the area so didn't pick to stay there as such. Our group was mixed in terms of ages including children and everyone fell in love with the place! We will definitely be going back. |

| The whole area is beautiful a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the scenery. A great place to go to for artists. Also plenty to do and see. Italian people so friendly and helpful. I would recommend Castello Di Montefugoni wholeheartedly and have warm memories of how well we were looked after condsidering that there were 83 people in our wedding party. |
