Overall we had a great, relaxing stay at Chiantigiana 3. The views were breathtaking and the location was pretty good. We made day trips to Siena, Arezzo and nearby towns

Published comment: The ambiance was great, we felt like at home. The owner, Maria Grazia was very kind and helpful, her mother as well. The panorama is beautiful from the rooms. The estate is next to the traditional road SR 222 and lots of cyclists pass by. It is very good starting point to different towns in Chianti region, even Siena and Firenze. Overall, during our stay we felt the atmosphere described in the book “Under the Tuscan sun”!
Very nice complex with a couple of appartments. The buildings seem to have been an old Tuscany farmhouse. Beautifully restored interior. Everything you would need, even if you plan to prepare all your meals yourself (not recommended, you would miss quite a few really good restaurants). There are beautiful views from the property to Panzano, although not from every appartment. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The only (minor) problem is the Chiantigiana (street) on weekends, when vacationers on bikes pass by.
Fortunately, there was no disturbing noise from the street at night.
We stayed in Chianigiana 5 and were so happy there! It was a relly good base to escape from it all! (We did find the description of how to find the villa difficult to follow though and the sign reads differently than stated.) The views from the villa are stunning. The gardens surrounding the villas are a treat to explore. The olive groves and vineyards were amazing. We visited out of season so had the whole place to ourselves so it was really peaceful too! Maria went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. I was disappointed to find that the villa didn't have an oven just a hob and a microwave. I had planned to bake a few 'al forno' pasta dishes, but when I explained this to Maria, she drove from Florence (an hour) to bring me a seperate little oven! This really impressed us and helped to make our cosy dinners at home as special as I had planned. This is a place we will definately return to. It is a little remote but that's why we liked it. There is a shop nearby but visitors need to have a car to explore the wider Chianti area. It is a short drive to Florence, San Gimignano and Siena so a good base to visit these picturesque places. Over all a highly recommeded place for a quiet Tuscan break!
The villa was wonderful once we found it! The directions were not clear and after several phone calls to the agent and 60 minutes of looking for the villa, we finally arrived. We were looking for a sign on a gate which didn't exist, but the agent insisted was there. But from arrival it was fanastic!! Beautiful location, close to the village of Panzano(walking distance)in the middle of Chianti Classico Counrty.
The villa is simple but comfortable with beautiful views and sunsets. The kitche was simple, but we cooked many enjoyable meals and enjoyed eating them on the terrace watching the sun set, magic! Bedrooms are very comfortable and large.
The owner was very helpful and friendly , she had very little english, but tried very hard to make sure we where happy and didn't need for anything. We had a great time walking through vineyards and olive groves and visiting small villages.
The host's English (that is to say our Italian) was a bit rough, but she was delightfully friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. Definitely added to the experience
A lovely homely feel, with Maria being a great host. The views are fantastic and watching the sunsets over Chianti hills was supurb. A great location for exploring Chianti.
